The Circuit Premieres Tomorrow

Michelle's movie "The Circuit" will air 7/8 p.m. Sunday on ABC Family. Michelle stars as a rising star on the stock car racing circuit. She is in competition with her estranged father (Billy Campbell), a fading race car legend.

Here's whats TheReader had to say about the movie: This car-racing TV movie finds a pretty young newcomer (Michelle Trachtenberg) trying to make her mark in a male-dominated sport. She’s living in the shadow of her estranged dad (Billy Campbell), a racing star whose bad behavior has ruined his career. And she’s pitted against a devilishly handsome rascal (Drew Fuller) who’s become the sport’s latest sex symbol. Will she beat him or fall in love with him? And if she falls in love with him, will she break the heart of the regular-guy mechanic (Tommy Lioutas) who’s always been sweet on her? No, The Circuit doesn’t overlook a single cliché. But, dammit, I like it anyway. The actors aren’t just gorgeous, but lively, witty and substantial. Though, admittedly, they had me at gorgeous.

CW announces fall lineup

CW viewers will see a pretty familiar schedule next season.
The network is leaving Monday and Thursday nights intact, while adding only three new series to its weeknight schedule: the "Beverly Hills, 90210" spinoff, dubbed "90210"; drama "Surviving the Filthy Rich" (formerly "How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls"); and reality show "Stylista."
"Gossip Girl" and "One Tree Hill" will keep their Monday perches at 8 and 9 p.m., respectively, while "Smallville" will continue to lead in to "Supernatural" on Thursday nights. ... Read More ...

"Gossip Girl" up, "Gladiators" down in ratings

The CW's "Gossip Girl" season finale spiked to deliver the show's highest rating since November on Monday, while NBC's "American Gladiators" continued its rapid ratings decline.
The CW aired the finale of "Gossip Girl" (3 million), followed by "One Tree Hill" (3.2 million). Both averaged about 2.7 million viewers last week. ... Read More ...

Michelle Trachtenberg Is No Gossip Girl

 E! Online reports New Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg is accused of being just that, after a blog post on Just Jared claims the actress talked smack about newly wedded Pete Wentz as she waited for a flight over the weekend.
When asked about the story by Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM show, Michelle flatly denied ever speaking negatively about the Fall Out Boy frontman, who tied the knot with Ashlee Simpson on Saturday. "Pete's been a friend of mine for years. I think the world of him. I would never trash him," said Michelle, adding that she's "very happy" for the couple.
Nevertheless, Ryan did pass on some sage advice: "If you're gonna talk crap on somebody, do it via text. That's how I roll."
Unless, of course, you're dissing Simon Cowell each week in front of 30 million American Idol viewers. Then it's OK to speak your mind freely and openly.

'Gossip Girl' ratchets up raciness at season's end

Ed Westwick lowers his head, narrows his eyes and curls his mouth into his signature Chuck Bass snarl. Hovering at the edge of the "Gossip Girl" schoolyard set wearing one of the dandy's trademark candy-colored garments (this one's a traffic-cone orange trench coat), Westwick hops up and down, shaking out his arms like a boxer about to enter the ring.
His foes? Two of TV's most, well, gossiped-about girls, Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), the lead characters on the modestly rated but wildly buzzed- and blogged-about CW teen drama that's arguably permeating pop culture in a way not seen since "The OC."
Smoothing down his sideburns, Westwick completes his Chuck transformation, striding across the ersatz courtyard in front of the rolling cameras and sidling up to Serena on a bench.
